Welcome to the Bend Gate Library Web page.  My name is Hannah Hudson.  I spent 21 years in the classroom and now I am starting my 10th year as the Bend Gate Library Media Specialist. My goal is to help all of our Gators gain a love for reading and STEAM learning. Through STEAM lessons I hope that our students will gain more interest and appreciation in the areas of (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). I also want to continue to build our library collection in order to have a variety of books that students will enjoy reading. 

Steamy Swamp library hours 

Monday-Friday  7:00 am -3:15 pm 

Students may come in any morning from 7:00-7:25 to read and take Accelerated Reader test on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday they may come in from 7:00-7:25 a.m. to participate in STEAM activities.

Destiny Quest 

To search for books in our media center, you can access Destiny Quest, our online card catalog, by visiting this link: Click on Bend Gate. This card catalog is available to search our books without logging in. 


Renaissance Home Connect-Check AR points and goals 

Parents: Did you know you can connect to Renaissance Home Connect which allows you to view your child's Accelerated Reader Progress?  Renaissance Home Connect is an easy-to-use, web-based program that allows you to share in the educational experience by viewing progress in Accelerated Reader while outside of school.

The User Name and Password  

User Name (first.last name) 

Password (your child's lunch number) 

In Renaissance Home Connect you can also: 

  • Click Email Setup to sign up to receive emails showing your student's quiz and test results 
  • Click Help to get answers to your questions about Renaissance Home Connect
